Membership
Excerpt from our association statutes:
The association is called “G Universe”. Association for information technology, multimedia, gaming, and e-sports.
It is based in Donnerskirchen and its activities extend to Austria and the European Union. The association, whose activities are not profit-oriented, aims to promote leisure activities such as gaming (computer gaming), multimedia – media design, efficient use of the internet, hosting “LAN parties” as well as organizing and participating in LAN and e-sport events, and providing various streaming servers and online platforms. The association acts politically and denominationally neutral.
By promoting the creative and playful use of new media, the association aims to foster interest in technology and new information technologies. This also helps to develop basic computer skills and promotes administrative, team-oriented, and strategic abilities that can be useful in education or when entering the workforce.
One purpose of the association is also to enable young people to have a reasonable approach to modern new media and to promote responsible handling of computer games. Communication between young people and older, experienced members should also be facilitated. Exchange of experiences and free help are also in the foreground.
Through the public relations work of the association, events, special events, educational events, seminars, conferences, and training courses, the common goals of the association should be promoted.
The orientation of events and information events with the possibility to deepen common interests should also serve team spirit and individual development.
Acquisition of Membership & Social:
(1) Ordinary members and honorary members of the association can only be natural persons, extraordinary members can be natural or legal persons. (2) The board decides on the admission of members. Admission can be refused without giving reasons. (3) Appointment as an honorary member is made on the application of the board by the general assembly. (4) The application for admission must be made in writing to the association. All necessary documents must be enclosed with the application. There is no legal entitlement to membership.
Discounts: Members who have not yet reached the age of eighteen, pupils, trainees, students, pensioners, and social welfare recipients have the possibility, after submitting a document recognized by the board, which confirms membership in one of the groups mentioned, to apply for a reduction in membership fees. The board decides on the approval and the amount of the reduced membership fee. There is no legal entitlement to a reduction in membership fees. Membership fee: The current membership fees apply.
