2. Advertising, Affiliate & Review Copy Disclosure (FTC & EU Transparency Guidelines)
Transparency with our readers across North America, the United Kingdom, the European Union, and worldwide is a core pillar of Gamersuniverse.eu. In compliance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Endorsement Guides, the EU Unfair Commercial Practices Directive, and § 26 of the Austrian Media Act, we disclose how our publication is funded and how we handle review copies:
- Editorial Independence: Our PC and console settings guides, performance benchmarks, lore explainers, news stories, and reviews are written independently. No publisher, studio, hardware manufacturer, or advertiser can buy a review score, a recommendation, or favorable editorial coverage.
- Affiliate Links (
rel="sponsored nofollow"): Some links to hardware products, retail stores, or digital storefronts (for example inside our interactive PC Check tool or hardware buying guides) may be affiliate links marked withrel="sponsored nofollow". If you click on an affiliate link and make a purchase, Gamersuniverse may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate partnerships never dictate which settings, games, or hardware components we recommend. - Review Keys, Press Access & Sponsored Content: When a game, expansion, or hardware item is evaluated using a pre-release or post-release review key or test sample provided by a publisher or PR agency, we state this transparently in the article. Paid advertisements, sponsorships, or event media partnerships are always clearly labeled as advertising or sponsored content. Read our full Editorial Policy, Testing Methodology & Review Guidelines for more details.

When you visit Gamersuniverse.eu, our web server automatically collects and stores standard technical server log information transmitted by your browser (browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL, requested page, IP address, and timestamp of the request). To deliver pages quickly and protect our infrastructure against brute-force and DDoS attacks, we use LiteSpeed Cache and the QUIC.cloud Content Delivery Network (CDN).
This technical processing is necessary to ensure the stability, security, and reliable delivery of our website and is carried out on the legal basis of our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR and § 165(3) TKG 2021. Server log data is not merged with other data sources and is only inspected if concrete indications of unlawful use or cyberattacks arise.
