Percy Jackson and the Olympians and the Ice Age Movies Are Heading to Netflix in a New Disney Licensing Deal

Starting October 4, the first two seasons of Percy Jackson and the Olympians and all five original Ice Age movies will begin streaming on Netflix, part of a new licensing agreement with Disney that Variety first reported on October 2.

A Temporary Window, Not an Exit From Disney+

The deal is nonexclusive, so Percy Jackson and the Olympians isn’t leaving Disney+ or Hulu, it’s simply becoming available on Netflix too, reportedly for a three month window. The timing lines up with Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 3, which is set to premiere on Disney+ on November 20, turning Netflix into a promotional pit stop for new viewers before the show’s next chapter lands back home. Ice Age follows the same playbook, with all five films hitting Netflix globally on October 4 ahead of the franchise’s next theatrical entry, Ice Age: Boiling Point, expected in February 2027.

Dafne Keen returns as Artemis when Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 3 premieres on Disney+ on November 20.

Will Trent, Pixar Films, and a Handful of Library Deep Cuts

The agreement reportedly extends well beyond the two headline franchises. Will Trent’s first four seasons are said to join Netflix on November 3, while older Disney-owned library titles like Felicity, Revenge, Army Wives, and Fresh Off the Boat are also part of the deal, with availability varying by region. Pixar’s Soul and Elio, along with Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Raya and the Last Dragon, are expected to follow onto Netflix in early 2027 as the licensing arrangement rolls out in stages.

Neither Disney nor Netflix has published its own statement confirming the full scope of the agreement, so some of the specific dates and titles could still shift before everything actually arrives.
