Gamescom award 2020: The nominees have been determined!

gamescom Award 2020: The jury, consisting of German and international games journalists as well as well-known YouTubers and co., has selected from over 140 submissions. This year, winning titles will be awarded in a total of 26 categories. Partners and fans of gamescom (August 27th to 30th, 2020) can look forward to seeing who will receive one of the coveted trophies. The first awards will be presented on Thursday during gamescom: Opening Night Live.

Starting on Thursday and continuing until Saturday, August 29th, 3:00 PM (CEST), gamescom fans can vote for their favorites in the fan categories Best Show and Best Streamer. To cast their vote, they can chat with the gamesbot on the official gamescom website. For the vote, the user’s email address only needs to be provided once, and then they can start voting. In addition, fans will also award the gamescom “Most Wanted” Consumer Award, which will be chosen by fans from among all nominated games. These and other winning titles in the jury categories: Best Announcement, Best Lineup, Best Presentation/Trailer, and the HEART OF GAMING Award will be announced during gamescom: Best Of Show on Sunday, August 30th.

This is when the main prize, Best of gamescom, will also be awarded. Both gamescom: Opening Night Live and gamescom: Best Of Show, as well as all other gamescom shows, can be accessed for free via gamescom now: https://now.gamescom.de/

Best Lineup

• All partner companies of gamescom are eligible for the jury’s consideration.

Best of gamescom

• All category winners of the genre and platform categories are eligible for the main prize, Best of gamescom.

Best Presentation / Trailer

• All game presentations or trailers shown on gamescom now are eligible for the jury’s consideration.

Best Show

• Selected live streams, shows and gamescom specials are eligible for the gamescom fans’ consideration.

Best Streamer

• Streamers accredited for gamescom 2020 are eligible for the gamescom fans’ consideration.

gamescom “Most Wanted”

• The nominees of all genre and platform categories (see above) are eligible for the gamescom fans’ consideration.

HEART OF GAMING Award

• The jury will decide the winner of the HEART OF GAMING Award at its own discretion. This may include not only games, expansions, products, technologies, etc., but also individuals, institutions, companies, concepts or terms.
