The “gamescom 2020”
The gamescom is the world’s largest event for computer and video games and Europe’s biggest business platform for the games industry. In 2020, due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, the gamescom took place exclusively online from Thursday, August 27, 2020, to Sunday, August 30, 2020. The gamescom is jointly organized by Koelnmesse and game – the German Games Industry Association.
Over 300 companies and exhibitors from all over the world participated in gamescom. Famous game developers and companies from the esports, telecommunications, internet, and many other industries were represented. New technologies were also presented.

For the first time, a closer look at the content hub gamescom now was provided. This contains all the content from developers, publishers, and other partners, as well as community-specific content – for example, for cosplay, indie, retro, or merch fans, as well as for families – and all gamescom shows.
The announced partnership with the content platform TikTok is already bearing impressive fruit.
For example, the #HeartOfGaming challenge, which was launched, generated over 80 million views on content posted under the hashtag in a very short time.
