The Blood of Dawnwalker Drops Final Launch Trailer Ahead of September 3 Release

Rebel Wolves and Bandai Namco have released the final launch trailer for The Blood of Dawnwalker during Gamescom’s Opening Night Live, giving fans one last look at the dark fantasy action RPG before it arrives on September 3, 2026. The nearly two-minute trailer leans hard into the game’s vampire-horror atmosphere, teasing Coen’s fight against Brencis, the tyrannical vampire lord ruling over Vale Sangora.

The new footage largely focuses on story and atmosphere rather than mechanics, showing off gruesome encounters, unsettling creatures of the night, and Coen’s internal struggle between his human and vampiric sides. It’s the studio’s clearest confirmation yet that The Blood of Dawnwalker is aiming for tone over spectacle, leaning into grim medieval misery as its central hook.

Human by Day, Vampire by Night

The Blood of Dawnwalker is built around a day/night gameplay split: by day Coen fights as a human relying on swordplay and directional blocking, while by night he can unleash vampiric powers and claws. Every choice made during the day advances an in-game clock that pushes the story – and the fate of Coen’s family – forward, adding a layer of pressure to how players explore the open world of 14th-century Vale Sangora.

The Blood of Dawnwalker marks the debut title from Rebel Wolves, a Warsaw-based studio founded in 2022 by Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, former game director of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, alongside a leadership team of other CD Projekt Red veterans from the Witcher and Cyberpunk 2077 franchises. The studio has described the game as the first chapter of a planned larger saga set in the same dark fantasy universe.

With the launch trailer now out and the release date just days away, all eyes are on Vale Sangora as Coen’s story is about to begin.

Keep the adventure going!
