Persona 4 Revival Adds Anime Fan-Favorite Aika Nakamura as a Brand-New Social Link

Atlus gave Persona fans a fresh batch of details this weekend. Persona 4 Revival’s second broadcast, which aired on September 20, confirmed that Aika Nakamura, a character originally created for Persona 4: The Animation back in 2011, is joining the game for the first time ever as a brand-new Social Link.

A Fan-Favorite Anime Character Finally Gets Her Due

Aika first showed up in Persona 4: The Animation, where she became a running gag as a delivery girl who somehow manages to turn up with food in the most impossible places. She’s the daughter of the owner of Aiya, the Chinese diner in Inaba’s Central Shopping District, and she attends Yasogami High School alongside the main cast. Outside of a couple of brief text mentions in Persona 4 Golden and Persona 4 Arena, she’s never actually appeared as a playable character before, so Revival marks her true in-game debut. Atlus describes her personality as “laid back by nature.”

Location Episodes Dig Into Inaba’s Hidden History

Aika’s Social Link comes bundled with a new feature called Location Episodes. Since she’s spent years delivering food all over town, she can take the protagonist to real spots around Inaba, and photographic memories tied to those locations unlock conversations about the town’s past. It’s a neat way to fold a side character’s knowledge of the map into actual storytelling instead of just another hangout spot.

New Social Links usually come with their own arcana card, so fans have started speculating that Aika’s addition could mean new Personas tied to that arcana are on the way too. Atlus hasn’t confirmed specifics on that front yet, so take it as an educated guess rather than a promise.

Returning Faces and Battle System Upgrades

The roughly ten-minute broadcast also spent time on characters and systems returning players will recognize, plus a few new additions:

• Returning party members Rise Kujikawa, Kanji Tatsumi, Naoto Shirogane, and Teddie, shown in new battle footage
• Fresh looks at Nanako and Ryotaro Dojima, the protagonist’s cousin and uncle, plus rookie detective Tohru Adachi
• Baton Pass, the turn-passing mechanic from Persona 5 Royal and Persona 3 Reload, confirmed for the remake
• A new power-up mode called Prime Time
• A new vocal rendition of the theme song “A Sky Full of Stars -Revival-“, led by composer Ryota Kozuka

Atlus also confirmed a new English voice cast for the remake, though a handful of fans think one line in the broadcast sounded a lot like an original cast member. Nothing has been confirmed beyond the official new-cast announcement, so we’re not reading too much into a single unconfirmed clip.

When Persona 4 Revival Releases

Persona 4 Revival launches February 18, 2027 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store, with day-one availability on Xbox and PC Game Pass. A Nintendo Switch 2 version follows on May 20, 2027, announced separately during a Nintendo Direct alongside confirmation that Persona 6 itself is also headed to Switch 2, though that game still doesn’t have a release date.
