Avengers: Doomsday Debuts New Doctor Doom First Look With Exclusive 4DX and ScreenX Posters
Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Doomsday has a new first look at Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom, with brand new 4DX and ScreenX posters giving the villain his own dedicated spotlight ahead of the film’s December 18 theatrical release. Unlike the crowded ensemble artwork usually associated with Marvel’s crossover events, the new premium format posters strip everything else away and put Doom front and center.
Doom Gets the Spotlight, No Avengers Required
The new 4DX poster embraces Doctor Doom’s signature black and green color scheme and features the character alone, with no Avengers, X-Men, or Fantastic Four members sharing the frame. The companion ScreenX poster widens the picture slightly, revealing a coven of Latverian witches surrounding Marvel’s newest major villain. Both formats arrive ahead of the film’s release, with 4DX adding synchronized motion seating and environmental effects like wind and water, while ScreenX extends the image across the side walls of the theater to wrap the audience into the scene.

A Returning Russo Brothers and a Massive Ensemble
Avengers: Doomsday is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, who previously helmed Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame. The returning cast includes Chris Evans as Steve Rogers, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, Paul Rudd as Scott Lang, Letitia Wright as Shuri, and Tom Hiddleston as Loki, joined by X-Men veterans Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, James Marsden, Rebecca Romijn, and Alan Cumming. Marvel’s First Family also enters the fold, with Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm.
With that many heroes converging on screen, giving Doom and his coven of witches the premium format artwork all to themselves says a lot about how the film positions its central threat.
