Footage of a Possible Persona 1 Remake Called Be Your True Mind Has Leaked Online
Roughly two minutes of footage from what looks like an unannounced Persona 1 remake has leaked online via the GamingLeaksAndRumours subreddit. The clip, subtitled Be Your True Mind, shows dungeon exploration, flashy turn-based combat and a classroom dialogue scene, all rebuilt in the modern Persona 5 style of menus and presentation.
What the Leaked Footage Shows
The footage pairs dungeon crawling with Persona’s signature flashy combat and at least one dialogue scene set in a school, all wrapped in menus that closely resemble Persona 5’s UI rather than the original 1996 PlayStation game’s look. One detail has fans puzzled: Tatsuya Suou, the protagonist of Persona 2: Innocent Sin, appears to be standing in as a party member. It is unclear whether that is a placeholder, a cross-promotional skin or a hint at some kind of Persona Q-style crossover between the two games.

A Title Borrowed From the Original Game
Be Your True Mind is not a new name invented for the leak. It was already the subtitle of the 1996 original, known in Japan as Megami Ibunroku Persona and released in the West as Revelations: Persona, which lends the leaked footage a bit more credibility than a generic fan mockup would carry.
Atlus Has Already Signaled It Wants to Do This
Persona series producer Kazuhisa Wada addressed the idea of remaking the franchise’s earliest, most-neglected entries back in August, saying of Persona 1 and 2 remakes, “personally, I think it’s something we should definitely do.” That comment came after Atlus spent recent years revisiting its back catalog, including Persona 4 Revival, and follows a now-familiar pattern for the studio: Persona 3 Reload itself was first confirmed to be real through a leak before Atlus announced it officially.
The leak reportedly includes a school dialogue scene, a setting central to the Persona series since the original 1996 game.
Should You Believe It?
Atlus has not commented on the footage, and nothing here is official yet. The clip runs long and stays visually consistent enough that it looks unlikely to be an AI fabrication, but until Atlus confirms or denies it, a Persona 1 remake called Be Your True Mind remains an unannounced project rather than a confirmed one.
