007 First Light’s Extended Operations DLC Adds New Game+, a Brutal 00 Difficulty, and Photo Mode
IO Interactive has launched Extended Operations, the first major free content update for 007 First Light, out now on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Released as update 1.3.0, the patch delivers several of the features players have been asking for most since the game’s May 2026 launch, including a New Game+ mode, a punishing new difficulty tier, and a long-requested Photo Mode, on top of two new missions.
New Game+ and the “00” Difficulty
New Game+ unlocks after finishing the campaign on any difficulty and lets players replay from the beginning or jump back into any completed checkpoint while keeping every outfit and gadget they’ve already earned. It also unlocks the new “00” difficulty, built for players who want to prove they’ve truly earned the number. Guards react faster to bodies and disturbances, some enemies are swapped for tougher replacements, and gadgets can no longer be used while in a guard’s line of sight. Combat gets meaner too, with two-hit kills and tighter timing windows on parries and side-steps, plus reduced agency gains during fights. Players who’d rather keep things manageable can still bring their unlocked outfits and gadgets into New Game+ on the easier difficulties.

Two New TacSim Missions: Valhalla Protocol and the Jungle Heist
Extended Operations also adds two new TacSim missions. Valhalla Protocol sends Bond into the Slovakian mountains for four driving-focused challenges behind the wheel of an Aston Martin Valhalla, racing through day and night scenarios while using the campaign’s weaponry to destroy targets and bank time bonuses on online leaderboards. The Jungle Heist takes players back to The Pearl, the Vietnamese resort location from the campaign, for a new infiltration mission built around retrieving classified documents from a heavily guarded villa. Its interior and rooftop have been redesigned with extra routes, giving stealth players more room to improvise their approach.
Photo Mode, New Gear, and What’s Next for the Switch 2 Port
The update’s Photo Mode lets players pause the action to adjust Bond’s pose, reposition the camera, and tweak lens settings, brightness, filters, backgrounds, and logos, with an option to hide the interface entirely for a cleaner shot. Extended Operations also adds the Squire Marksman Rifle and the Storm 12 Gauge Shotgun, both purchasable through the in-game Intel shop alongside several new outfits, plus refined weapon-handling animations and a TacSim mode that now draws from the full campaign arsenal. Enemies have gotten meaner as well, with new animations that let them shove Bond off ledges mid-fight.

All of this content is free for everyone who already owns 007 First Light on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, or PC. Switch 2 owners will have to wait a little longer, since that version’s launch was delayed to March 2027, but IO Interactive has confirmed the entire Extended Operations update will already be built in when that port finally arrives.
