Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls Reveals Full Year 1 DLC Roster: Jane Foster’s Thor, Venom and Jubilee Join Phoenix Cyclops
Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls now has its complete first year of post-launch fighters mapped out. Arc System Works and Sony Interactive Entertainment confirmed this weekend that Jane Foster’s Thor, Venom and Jubilee will join Phoenix Cyclops as the game’s Year 1 downloadable characters, rounding out the roster plan through next summer with a reveal trailer drawn in the style of Marvel artist Peach Momoko.
The Full Year 1 Roster and When They Arrive
Phoenix Cyclops, previously announced earlier this year, remains the first of the four and is still on track for November 2. Jane Foster’s Thor follows in winter 2027, Venom arrives in spring 2027 alongside a new Klyntar stage based on the symbiotes’ home world, and Jubilee closes out the year in summer 2027. Arc System Works has not attached exact dates to the latter three beyond their seasonal windows for now.

Jane Foster’s Thor makes her entrance in the Year 1 reveal trailer, Mjolnir in hand.
A Different Look for Thor, Venom and Jubilee
Rather than in-engine footage, the new trailer presents Thor, Venom and Jubilee in Peach Momoko’s distinctive watercolor art style, saving actual gameplay reveals for later. The Thor segment shows Jane Foster’s version of the character summoning Mjolnir, with a scene of Loki accusing her of being an impostor hinting at some of the story content tied to her arrival. Venom’s reveal is paired with the announcement of the Klyntar stage, while Jubilee’s brief appearance closes out the montage without further gameplay details for now.
Phoenix Cyclops Still Leads the Way on November 2
Phoenix Cyclops remains the pass’s opening act. His design draws from the Phoenix Five incarnation of the character from the comics rather than his more familiar visor-and-blast look, giving him a distinct identity in a roster that already favors less obvious character interpretations, such as Shuri standing in for Black Panther and Robbie Reyes as Ghost Rider. Arc System Works producer Takeshi Yamanaka introduced him on the PlayStation Blog by calling him “one of Marvel’s most iconic X-Men leaders,” and he keeps Ray Chase as his voice actor. He arrives with Optic Blast based combat that builds toward a Dark Phoenix transformation, along with Classic and Legacy costume options pulled from his comic and animated TV appearances.
Pricing and the Base Game
All four fighters and the Klyntar stage are bundled into the Year 1 Characters & Stage Pass, currently priced at $34.99 or £28.99. Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls itself launched on PS5 and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store on August 6, 2026, with PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers able to try the base game through a limited trial.
With the full Year 1 lineup now public, Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls has a clear roadmap stretching into next summer, giving players a reason to stick around well past Phoenix Cyclops’s November debut.
