The Wolf Among Us Remastered Delayed on Nintendo Switch, Other Platforms Still Launch October 29
Telltale Games has delayed The Wolf Among Us Remastered on Nintendo Switch, just under two weeks before its planned October 29 launch. In a statement shared on social media, the studio confirmed that the PlayStation, Xbox, and PC versions are still arriving on schedule, while the Nintendo Switch release moves to an unannounced later date.
Why Telltale Is Taking More Time on Switch
Telltale said bringing the original The Wolf Among Us to Nintendo Switch for the first time is an exciting moment for the studio, and one it doesn’t want to rush. According to the statement, the team needs additional time to deliver the experience Nintendo players deserve, rather than ship a weaker port alongside the other platforms.
“The Nintendo Switch version will follow at a later date.”

What We Still Don’t Know
Telltale’s statement named PlayStation, Xbox, and PC specifically as launching on October 29, but it didn’t mention Nintendo Switch 2, which had previously been confirmed as a separate version alongside the original Switch when the remaster was announced earlier this year. Whether the newer hybrid console avoids the delay or follows the same unannounced timeline as the older Switch remains unclear for now.
Beyond the Switch delay, nothing else about the relaunch has changed. The remaster brings enhanced visuals, an updated interface, improved accessibility options, and more than an hour of bonus behind-the-scenes content, including cast interviews and deleted scenes. Gamersuniverse recently broke down how the original game’s story ends, a handy refresher for anyone catching up on Bigby and Snow White before The Wolf Among Us 2 arrives.
