GTA 6 Leaker Cyberleek Says the Leaks Are Over, Warns a ‘Dead Man’s Switch’ Is Still Active
Grand Theft Auto VI’s most prolific leaker just hit the brakes, at least for now. On October 14, the account known as Cyberleek posted a three part message titled “The End of the Road,” announcing that it is done leaking GTA 6 material while warning that a so called dead man’s switch could still release the game’s ending if the leaker is ever silenced.
The Leaks Stop Here, For Now
Cyberleek’s statement confirmed the leaker already has access to Grand Theft Auto VI’s ending, but said it will stay unpublished. The message also pushed back on months of accusations that the whole saga was just a crypto grift built around a memecoin, insisting the token tied to the leaks was never meant as an investment.
“The leeks stop here. For now.”
Cyberleek, GTA 6 leaker
Cyberleek described the token as “always a donation, never an investment” and denied running a rug pull, framing the backlash over its collapsing value as panic rather than evidence of a scam.
What the Dead Man’s Switch Actually Covers
According to Cyberleek, the switch would only release story spoilers and the ending, not a full playable build, and only if the leaker is ever removed from the picture. Left alone, the leaker says it never fires. No outlet or third party has verified that the mechanism actually exists, so it is worth treating this strictly as an unconfirmed claim coming directly from the leaker rather than a confirmed fact.

Grand Theft Auto VI is currently scheduled to launch on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 19.
A Memecoin Milestone That Fell Well Short
Cyberleek had tied the release of a full, 200 plus gigabyte playable build to a $30 million market cap milestone for its token. That milestone was never reached, so according to the leaker’s own statement, the build will not be uploaded at all. Crypto outlet Protos reports the token’s value has since collapsed from a peak near $40 million, when the leaks first went viral, to just over $1 million as of October 14.
Not the First Dead Man’s Switch Claim, But a Different One
This isn’t the first time a dead man’s switch has been attached to this saga. Back in August, a report claiming Cyberleek would release a full build if Rockstar and Take-Two kept pursuing legal action turned out to be based on a fabricated image and was retracted by its original outlet within a day. This new October claim is a separate statement, sourced directly to Cyberleek rather than a doctored screenshot, and covers only story spoilers rather than a full build, but it remains just as unverified as any other leaker claim. We covered Rockstar’s broader anti-leak operation last month, including the studio’s dedicated security team and past extortion attempts.
Neither Rockstar nor Take-Two has issued a public response to Cyberleek’s latest statement. Grand Theft Auto VI remains on track for November 19 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, a little over a month away.
