GTA 6’s Pißwasser and Patriot Beers Could Be Coming to Real Life, US Label Filings Reveal

Grand Theft Auto 6’s fictional beer brands might not stay fictional much longer. Newly surfaced filings with the US Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) show label approvals for Pißwasser, Patriot, and a new drink called No Mames Vice City, all tied to a small Florida brewery, just weeks before Rockstar’s open-world crime game is set to launch.

A Florida Brewery Files for GTA’s Most Famous Beers

All three labels are registered to Tripping Animals Brewing, based in Doral, just outside Miami. Pißwasser and Patriot are long-running jokes within the Grand Theft Auto universe, fictional beer brands that have turned up on in-game billboards, cans and bar taps across multiple entries in the series. No Mames Vice City looks to be a GTA-branded spin on the brewery’s existing No Mames lager, its label showing a dog in sunglasses with a gold Vice City chain set against a pink and purple sunset.

Pißwasser and Patriot have been running gags in the Grand Theft Auto series for years, long before this latest real-world filing.

Label Approval Isn’t the Same as a Confirmed Collaboration

A TTB label approval only clears what can legally appear on packaging, wording, artwork and alcohol content, it does not guarantee a product will actually reach store shelves, and it does not confirm Rockstar’s involvement. Neither Rockstar Games nor Tripping Animals Brewing has announced a partnership, and it is still unclear when or if the beers would go on sale, what they would cost, or whether distribution would extend beyond the brewery’s existing Florida footprint.

Still, the timing lines up awkwardly well. The filings landed in the weeks leading into GTA 6’s November 19 release, alongside a real-world marketing push that has already reshaped parts of Miami into a stand-in for Vice City, a reported multi-million dollar advertising deal with the city, a $400 Collector’s Edition stacked with Vice City merchandise, and a clothing collaboration with the Miami Heat. Patriot beer also already makes a cameo in Grand Theft Auto 6’s second trailer, where lead character Jason is shown buying a can of it.

What’s Actually in the Cans

Per the filings, No Mames Vice City is listed as a 6% ABV lager, while both Patriot and Pißwasser come in at 4.2% ABV. Tripping Animals’ existing No Mames recipe, which the Vice City version appears to be based on, is already well regarded among craft beer fans, so a GTA-branded release would arrive with a decent base recipe behind it rather than being a one-off novelty brew.

Whether or not Rockstar ever officially confirms the collaboration, Grand Theft Auto VI remains on track to launch on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 19, with a PC release still unannounced. If the beers do make it to shelves, Florida will likely be the only place to actually crack one open.
