GTA 6 Collector’s Edition Revealed: The $400 Vice City Collection Doesn’t Include the Game
After a day of leaks, Rockstar Games has made it official: the GTA 6 Collector’s Edition is real. It is called Grand Theft Auto VI: The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection, it costs $399.99, and it is packed with Leonida-themed goodies. There is just one catch that has the community talking. The box does not include a copy of the game.
Rockstar describes the set as a premium Collector’s Box featuring “all the essentials for a good time”, inspired by Macca the Gator, a hit TV show that exists inside the world of Leonida. Pre-orders are live right now on the official Rockstar Store, and stock is limited.
GTA 6 Collector’s Edition Price and Release Date
The Vice City Collection sells for $399.99 / £349.99 / €399.99 and is available to pre-order through the official Rockstar Store. It ships starting November 19, 2026, the same day Grand Theft Auto VI launches on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Keep in mind that this is a ship date, so your box will not necessarily land on your doorstep on launch day.
A few more details worth knowing before you hit that pre-order button:
- Limited quantities: Rockstar is only offering the collection in limited numbers, and it is sold while supplies last.
- One per customer: Orders are restricted to one per person.
- No free shipping: The item is not eligible for free shipping, so expect to pay extra on top of the $399.99.
- Big box: The Collector’s Box measures 19 x 13.5 x 12.5 inches (roughly 48 x 34 x 32 cm).
- Adults only: Rockstar labels the set as adult collectibles for ages 18+, not a toy.
- Regions: Pre-orders are open in North America and Europe first. Rockstar says details for Asia, Latin America, Australia and New Zealand will follow.

Everything Inside the Vice City Collection
Rockstar is clearly leaning into the sunny, sleazy Florida parody vibe of Leonida. The collection contains 11 items in total:
- Macca the Gator Figure: A 6-inch figure of Macca enjoying a smoke and a flamingo blood martini, with a twist-open stash base, a classic Rockstar collector’s touch.
- Oakley Frogskins Sunglasses: Matte black frames with Prizm Sapphire lenses and a Vice City pink GTA VI logo.
- Leonida Keys Crossbody Bag: A ripstop bag with black and pink patterned lining, woven patches and a custom debossed YKK zipper pull.
- New Era 9FORTY Snapback Hat: An A-Frame snapback with Vice City Leonida embellishments, embroidery and appliques.
- Macca the Gator Magnetic Mirror: An electroplated pink glass mirror that works as a tray or wall art.
- Chunkee the Manatee Shot Glass: Featuring Chunkee on the front and a laser-etched Rockstar Games logo on the bottom.
- Vice City Collectible Swizzle Spoon: With a debossed enamel Vice City logo and a Rockstar Games logo tip.
- Vice City Razor Blade Keychain: A metallic razor-blade-style keychain with embossed GTA VI and Vice City logos.
- Leonida Keys Enamel Pin Set: Nine enamel pins in a custom metal tin.
- Leonida Keys Sticker Pack: Nine crack-and-peel vinyl stickers packed in a stash bag.
- Double-Sided Souvenir Poster: Macca the Gator characters on the front and a full map of Leonida on the back.
That last item might be the real star of the show. The poster gives fans a full, physical view of the Leonida map, something the community has been piecing together from trailers and screenshots ever since the first trailer dropped in December 2023.

Why the GTA 6 Collector’s Edition Doesn’t Include the Game
Rockstar states it plainly on the store page: Grand Theft Auto VI is sold separately. If you want to play the game as well, you still need the Standard Edition ($79.99) or the Ultimate Edition ($99.99), which brings the total to around $480 to $500 before shipping.
This is not new territory for Rockstar. Red Dead Redemption 2 got a Collector’s Box in 2018 that was also sold without the game. On top of that, Rockstar already confirmed in June that GTA 6 will not get a traditional disc release at launch, only a code-in-a-box version, so a game-included collector’s edition was always unlikely.
From Leak to Official Reveal in a Few Hours
The reveal came fast. Earlier on September 24, fans on GTAForums spotted a listing for “The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection” in the Rockstar Store backend, part of a list of roughly 55 unannounced GTA 6 merch items including shirts, hats and bags. The listing was flagged as a physical good, limited to one per customer and dated for November 19. Only a few hours later, Rockstar made it official on its Newswire and revealed the full contents and price.
And that merch list was not a fluke either. Rockstar says more GTA VI apparel and collectibles are coming to the Rockstar Store soon. Is the Vice City Collection Worth $400?
At Gamersuniverse, we think it depends on what kind of fan you are. The Oakley sunglasses and the New Era hat are real, wearable brand-name pieces, and the Leonida map poster will be a must-have for anyone planning to explore every corner of the Goodtime State. On the other hand, $400 without the game, plus shipping, is a steep ask, especially when a lot of the set consists of smaller trinkets like pins, stickers and a spoon.
If you are a die-hard collector, do not wait too long. Limited quantities plus what is shaping up to be the biggest game launch in years mean this box is unlikely to stay in stock for long.
