Sonic Pico Park Turns SEGA’s Mascot Into an 8-Player Co-Op Puzzle Party This November

TECOPARK and SEGA have locked in a release date for Sonic Pico Park, the Sonic the Hedgehog crossover entry in the puzzle-driven Pico Park series, confirming the game launches November 12 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. The announcement rounds out a reveal that started back in June, when the crossover first appeared during Sonic’s ongoing 35th anniversary celebrations.

A Familiar Formula With a Sonic Twist

Like the rest of the Pico Park series, which has sold more than 8 million copies worldwide, Sonic Pico Park keeps cooperative puzzle-solving simple at its core: reach the goal plate on the right side of each stage, and only by working together. The Sonic crossover carries that loop across 48 levels, with new gimmicks introduced throughout that require players to coordinate rather than push through solo. Every playable character, including Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Shadow, Big, Cream and Cheese, the series’ own Pico Cat, and newcomers Silver and Blaze, can use Sonic’s signature Spin Dash, while stages lean on familiar series elements like rings, loops, and springs.

Up to Eight Players, Local or Online

Sonic Pico Park supports 2 to 8 players at once, matching the scale the Pico Park series is known for, and can be played entirely locally, entirely online, or as a mix of both. Online sessions support cross-play across platforms, and up to seven local players can join a single online session from one PC, a setup clearly built around the series’ party-game reputation. It’s the first cooperative-focused entry to carry the Sonic license since Sonic Superstars, which made a similar push toward multiplayer when it launched back in 2023.
